A gut feeling that something is wrong.
Some more signs of dyslexia:
A child who says they “feel dumb.”
Difficulty with sounding out words.
Frequent spelling errors.
Irregular letter formation.
Strong listening and comprehension skills, but poor reading ability.
Motor challenges - for example, difficulty tying shoes or performing tasks that require coordination.
Sensitivity to light, noise, or visual clutter.
Difficulty remembering the steps in a process.
Trouble estimating how long a task will take and being frequently behind.
